What is flake ice?
Scotsman flake ice is ideal for use in displays of perishable, temperature sensitive foods such as wet fish and salads, and for safe storage 'in-transit'. Flake ice provides the cheapest form of refrigeration, giving excellent cooling properties but whilst maintaining humidity. Also used extensively for medical applications, physiotherapy, laboratory, etc, as it moulds easily to any contour.

AF80, AF100, AF200, AF20, AF30 self-contained iceflakers
The Scotsman AF range of ice flakers from KB Catering all have an integral storage bin. Productions quoted assume 10°c ambient air temperature. At higher temperatures ice production will fall. Storage capacity assumes use of the standard bin for each model.
All come with a fully automatic ice flaker, a stainless steel exterior and an ice flaker production ranging from 70kg/24hrs for the AF80 to 200kg/24hrs for the AF30.

Scotsman MF26 and MF36 modular ice flakers
The Scotsman MF range of high volume ice flakers from KB Catering all require a separate storage bin. Productions quoted assume 10°c ambient air temperature. At higher temperatures ice production will fall. Storage capacity assumes use of the standard bin for each model (B193 for MF26 and MF36).
The MF26 is a fully automatic ice flaker with F304 grade stainless steel exterior. Its ice flake production is 120kg/24hrs and if used with the B190 storage bin it can hold up to 86kg.
The MF36 is also a fully automatic ice flaker with F304 grade stainless steel exterior but its ice flake production is 200kg/24hrs. This model has dimensions H525 (542 with legs) x W560 x D533 as opposed to the MF26 which has dimensions H525 x W560 x D533.

Scotsman superflakers MF46, MF56, MF61 and MF82
Superflakers produce ice that is especially suitable for the preservation and display of fish granting an ideal cooling effect and humidity that maintains freshness without harming or freezing the surface of the fish.
The Scotsman MF range of superflakers from KB Catering range in their production capacity from 320 to 2300 kg per 24 hours. All require a separate storage bin. Storage capacity assumes use of the standard bin for each model.
